Giving a style to one’s hair very often, along with going for the option of getting hair permanently straightened, could well turn out to have a detrimental effect on your hair’s health. On the other hand, the natural modes of treatment in Ayurveda might take a little longer than usual, but will provide you the desired look without any side-effects. Some of the natural modes of treatment include: 1. Mixture of Coconut Oil and Lemon Juice: One of the most effective natural ways through which people can get their hair straightened is through application of a paste, with one- fourth cup of Coconut Milk and 1 table spoon of Lemon Juice. Keep the mixture for one whole night inside the refrigerator to get the exact preparation for usage. Then, next morning, the mixture should be applied to the hair, right from the roots to the tips. Women must leave it that way for half an hour, which should be followed by washing it off with cool water and applying mild shampoo, which is free from sulphate. This application of mixture works well because lemon juice helps in getting the hair straightened. Then its combination with coconut milk provides conditioning for the hair, thereby giving the scalp a boost of Vitamin C. 2. Treatment with Hot Oil: Another method of treatment in Ayurveda, which leads to straight hair, is by application of hot oil. For this, one requires 1 table spoon of Castor Oil along with a table spoon of Coconut Oil. The preparation time is hardly a couple of minutes. First one should combine the oil and heat it up for a few seconds till it becomes slightly warm. Then apply the oil to the scalp and hair. As and when the hair gets completely saturated with oil, massage your scalp for close to 15 minutes. After this, leave the oil on the hair for half an hour longer, and then wash the hair with cold water and a mild shampoo, which is free from sulphate. The treatment is perfect as castor oil helps to condition and repair the hair like no other ingredient.
